Weekly Wrasslin Wrankings November 4 – November 10

Lateness on the wrankings but oh boy, I’m puttin em out there.

  1. MAXIMIZATION OF TELEVISION TIME – What did this person do with their minutes? Were they must see? Was it something exciting to witness?
  2. FOLLOW THROUGH – Did this person handle the mic and deliver as promised or fall flat on their face. Even if it’s poor booking, it’s still a strike against them.
  3. STRAIGHT UP ENJOYMENT – Some times this will be enough to get them on through.
  4. IN RING PERFORMANCE – Yeah sure you were great on the mic but did your match stink up the joint?

*We reserve the right to add/subtract or alter the criteria at any point.

This list will include ANY wrestling that one of us has watched that week which does include when Justin watched WCW Nitro on the Network. Included for this weeks list are: Monday Night Raw, SmackDown Live, NXT, and NJPW.

Weekly Wrasslin Wrankings

November 4 – November 10

1. Alpha vs Omega

In a week where matches seem to have grabbed the most…one moment outshined them all. The wrestling world was alight with the news of Chris Jericho challenging Kenny Omega to a match at Wrestle Kingdom 12.

2. AJ Styles vs Jinder Mahal

Of course AJ would bring out the absolute best from Jinder. Mahal’s best match as champion and he loses the title. Super fired up for AJs 2nd title run.

3. Kofi Kingston vs Sami Zayn

Talk about match ups I didn’t know I wanted. SmackDown has been doing a great job of giving a nice taste of what could be. They don’t give you the whole thing. There could be some big money in Sami and Kofi down the line.

4. Finn Balor vs Samoa Joe

Mmmmmmm. Hard hitting. Check. Nod to their history. Check. The continuation of Balor stepping into BIG fights. Check. Joe continuing to rampage. Check. Up up up up. I loved it.

5. Roderick Strong vs Adam Cole

Strong again proving he’s one of the best superstars NXT has to offer. Great showing from Cole but let’s not pretend that this was anything more than firing us up for War Games.

6. Cody Challenges Ibushi

Wrestle Kingdom 12 is shaping up very nicely already. THIS match announcement got me real geeked up. I can’t wait to see what they can do in the ring.

7. Velveteen Dream

His match with Cezar Bononi was what I needed to see. Turn the offense up a notch. I don’t have high hopes that he will beat Aleister, but it will be a good hard hitting match.

8. Pete Dunne vs Enzo Amore

Was the match amazing? No. It was serviceable. What I loved though, was Enzo in the ring on the mic. Out comes Angle to announce his opponent and surprise surprise, it’s WWE UK Champion, Pete Dunne. Well played.

9. Asuka

So far so good. I am not a huge fan of her inclusion on the Raw Survivor Series team BUT small thing. So far she has looked dominant. Let’s hope it continues.

10. The Fashion 4 Are Silly

Goodness me. Even off of TV, Breezango has found a way to make it into the list.

BUMMER: Not Enough Time

As usual, not enough time to catch everything that I want to but….

Last Weeks List

  1. Breezango
  2. SAnitY vs The Authors of Pain
  3. Drew Gulak
  4. Captain Alicia Fox
  5. Fabian Aichner vs Johny Gargano
  6. Finn Balor vs Cesaro
  7. It’s Rusev Daaaaaaay
  8. Nikki Cross
  9. The Cruiserweight Division
  10. Samoa Joe’s Return
